For more than 75 years the MacKenzie Highlanders have been performing throughout the Niagara Frontier .  Primarily a novice teaching band, instructors include  Scott Kirkwood RCAF Legion (Fort Erie) Pipe Band Lead Drummer . 

The band participates in 15 to 20 performances a year, and this year will compete in Grade 5 with plans for continued competitive play in the future.

The band wears modern Mackenzie kilts and the Stag's Head badge to commemorate the Seaforth Highlanders, and plays Dunbar chanters and Premier drums.
